Football Boots for Orphans in Tansania

“Good Hope Centre e.V.” is a booster club that runs homes for approximately 100 children in Arusha (Tansania), in collaboration with a partner from the Netherlands. The venture consists of a children’s home, which is connected to a Kindergarten, and another home that belongs to a local elementary school.

The homes shelter orphans and neglected children who are brought in from the streets by social workers or from nurseries. Annually, 15 fostered children are released to the society and another 15 are inducted. To run these homes, 60 locals are employed as kindergarten teachers, chefs or security guards, thus providing 60 families with a source of income.

Charity Cat supported this project by donating football shoes.
