Sports clothes for bedouin children in Dahab, Egypt

The little goalkeeper was super proud of his new huge goalkeeping gloves, he didn’t even mind that they made it harder to catch the football. The little boy was one of a group of kids in Dahab, a former fishing village on the Sinai peninsula in Egypt, who benefited from a clothing donation by Charity Cat. It included t-shirts, caps and shoes to allow the kids to play football together. The children are part of the local bedouins, who are traditionally desert nomads and make their living through their livestock or tourism. Possessions mean little to the family clans there, so the children are happy to share the new clothes. “You brought a lot of happiness to Dahab,” said our project partner on the ground, “only the goats got a little scared and ran off.”
